CHAPTER ONE · THE START
2022. El Cajon, California. A drum roaster, a few sacks of green beans, and the realization that the coffee at every gas station, every job site, every chain café was the same flat, over-roasted, vacuum-sealed disappointment. We figured we could do better. So we did.
What started as one bag for the shop turned into a few bags for the neighbors, then a website, then a tailgate at the races, then a real coffee company. No VC, no investor deck, no "synergies." Just a drum, a hopper, and the standard we drink to.
Today we still roast every bag in El Cajon. Still small-batch. Still by hand. Still the standard.
THE OUTHOUSE WAY
"Roast it right.·Ship it fast.·Mean what you say."
— Three rules. They're enough.
CHAPTER TWO · THE PROCESS
We source from farms in Central and South America we actually know — single origins and small co-ops, no commodity guesswork. Quality you can taste in the cup, traceable to the lot.
Every order roasted within 1–2 days of you placing it. Small-batch drum roasting in our El Cajon facility. Every bean cracked, pulled, packed by hand.
Same-day USPS shipping after roast. From the roaster to the mail truck, no middlemen, no warehouse delay. Stale coffee is for suckers — and we don't sell to suckers.
CHAPTER THREE · BY THE NUMBERS
